Thought For The Weekend

I thought I would start a "new feature" for Fridays. I will post a "thought of the day" or a message from another person, each Friday. It might be good to hear what other's have to say (and it's way easier for me to copy and paste someone else's work).

This Friday, here is a message from David Wilkerson's blog:

TRIUMPHANT CHURCH
There is a triumphant church rising up even now, coming out of great trials of faith.

This last-days church is emerging from fiery furnaces and long days of affliction. So, you ask, what does God plan to do?

What I see happening is the Holy Spirit at work bringing a people into utter brokenness. He’s leading them to a revelation of weakness in their own flesh, in order to show himself strong. I see him bringing his people to the end of themselves, crushing their stubborn wills, until their mindset becomes only, “His will be done.” I see him leading his beloved ones into places of trial so difficult only a miracle can deliver them. And through it all, they are becoming wholly dependent on the Lord for everything.

Does this describe your situation? Perhaps you’ve been walking with Jesus for years, and you’ve never faced a test like the one in front of you right now. Things are coming at you that seem overwhelming, things that only God can do something about. And you realize only he can bring you through.

Right now, Islamics are preparing for a final jihad, to “take over the world” for Allah. Islamic training camps are rising up worldwide with a message of hate, characterized by merciless beheadings.

Yet the Lord also has a people in training, a people he’s going to use to face down the wrath of this world. How will he accomplish this? He is training and equipping them in his loving kindness and peace. Our God is a God of love, and he won’t use bombs, guns or suicide squads, but an overcoming people who are fearless in the Lord of tender mercies.

All over the world, God’s people are experiencing suffering, afflictions and torture more than ever in their lifetime. And of this I am sure: there is a divine, eternal purpose in the intensity of these spiritual and physical battles now being endured in the true body of Christ. “His tender mercies are over all his works” (Psalm 145:9 ).

  1. Why do you waste your time spreading the word about fringe movements. Why don't you spend your time getting to know your Lord rather than trying to scare people around the world of what you call "Islamics." For the number of radical Muslims you will find, you will find an equal number of radical Christians. Let us be honest. More importantly, you should be more frightened from the uprising of atheism and secularism around the world. These are both great threats to morality and have only in 90 years destroyed the very moral and ethical fabric with which the US was built. In 90 short years, we have witnessed a huge decline in morality and even worse in spirituality. Muslims are begining to be plagued by this rise of atheism and secularism, whereas, christians in the West have already been devastated by it. I hope that you can change the attitude of your site to one that promotes spirituality and religiosity and fights the rising threat of "Godlessness." May God have mercy on us all..

  2. Mike-
You must be new to my site, because if you had actually read my posts, you would see that all of my emphasis and my stated goal is to explore Biblical prophecy. This prophecy has clearly led me to believe that Islam will be key to the rise of the antichrist.
Now in the effort of truth, I will respond to your questions.

    * Why would you assume that I don't spend time with the LORD? The intense research of Scripture is spending massive amounts of time reading His Word and praying for wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.I also noticed that you said "your Lord". Should I jump to the conclusion that He is not your LORD also? I have never called them "Islamics", if you re-read this post, you will see that this was from David Wilkerson (is that who you called a "fringe movement"?)

    * That's an absolute lie. How many Christians do you see beheading Muslims?

    * I can appreciate where you may be coming from here, but I need to be clear: I am frightened of no man or religion or lack of religion. I have a fear of the LORD, for that is the only fear Jesus has commanded us to have (Luke 12:4-6). Believing this, I would certainly not try to "scare people", but I will warn them as I am led to do.

    * Agreed.

    * I will continue to write only what I feel God has led me to write. "Religiosity"?- I'm not sure what you mean here, so I don't know how to respond. I can tell you that I will glorify Jesus as much as I can; I will warn people of potential deception as I am called to do (2 John 1:7,Matt 24:24,Mark 13:22); I will stay in His Word and encourage my readers to do the same; I will not take back anything I have written on this site as it is the truth; I will expose Islam for what it is, while still loving and praying for Muslims.

I don't mean to sound angry, but your comments were very wrong and unfounded. I would encourage you to read all of my posts and then make a judgement.
If you are looking for a site that promotes the idea that "We all pray to the same God", or that it's good enough to just be a good person (feelings of spirituality or religiosity) then you will not like my site.
I believe that the God of the Bible (Father,Son,Holy Spirit)is the one true God.

Again, I don't mean to come across the wrong way. I just don't want there to be any misunderstanding about my beliefs or the direction of my site.

  3. I don't consider Islam a fringe movement. How can you say that Mike? It is the enemy of Christianity, Judaism and the West and have very large numbers and growing in the United States. It is the fastest growing religion in our prison's.
I also don't think fear is being used on this web site. The truth is being spoken. If that scares some maybe it is good. May I recomend the book "While Europe Slept" by Bruce Bawer. Then see if you still think Islam is a fringe movement. Through it all we must keep our christian character and seek to love our enemy's.

  5. To the Author of Assyrian Horn-
Satan's spirit of intimidation comes to fill you worry and doubt of what you are doing and the way in which you are doing it. The deciever wants to scare you, thus rendering you useless in God's call for advancement through your testimony. We must continue stand firm! Beware always of the wicked schemes of the enemy. Remember always that our enemy may come as a wolf in sheeps clothing. You handled the comments attacking your site well.
FOR IT SAYS IN 2 Timothy 4:2-5

Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

Stand firm to the Word: for this is just the beginning of attacks like this.~J

It's good to know there are believing people on the other side of the computer.
