Thought For The Weekend

I thought I would start a "new feature" for Fridays. I will post a "thought of the day" or a message from another person, each Friday. It might be good to hear what other's have to say (and it's way easier for me to copy and paste someone else's work).

This Friday, here is a message from David Wilkerson's blog:


TRIUMPHANT CHURCH
There is a triumphant church rising up even now, coming out of great trials of faith.

This last-days church is emerging from fiery furnaces and long days of affliction. So, you ask, what does God plan to do?

What I see happening is the Holy Spirit at work bringing a people into utter brokenness. He’s leading them to a revelation of weakness in their own flesh, in order to show himself strong. I see him bringing his people to the end of themselves, crushing their stubborn wills, until their mindset becomes only, “His will be done.” I see him leading his beloved ones into places of trial so difficult only a miracle can deliver them. And through it all, they are becoming wholly dependent on the Lord for everything.

Does this describe your situation? Perhaps you’ve been walking with Jesus for years, and you’ve never faced a test like the one in front of you right now. Things are coming at you that seem overwhelming, things that only God can do something about. And you realize only he can bring you through.

Right now, Islamics are preparing for a final jihad, to “take over the world” for Allah. Islamic training camps are rising up worldwide with a message of hate, characterized by merciless beheadings.

Yet the Lord also has a people in training, a people he’s going to use to face down the wrath of this world. How will he accomplish this? He is training and equipping them in his loving kindness and peace. Our God is a God of love, and he won’t use bombs, guns or suicide squads, but an overcoming people who are fearless in the Lord of tender mercies.

All over the world, God’s people are experiencing suffering, afflictions and torture more than ever in their lifetime. And of this I am sure: there is a divine, eternal purpose in the intensity of these spiritual and physical battles now being endured in the true body of Christ. “His tender mercies are over all his works” (Psalm 145:9 ).

Why Can't I Hear God's Voice?

(I had planned on posting the comparisons between the 12th Imam (Mahdi) and the antichrist, but I feel a prompting to detour.)





I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU:


Do you hear God speaking to you?


I used to wonder why I never heard from God. I would hear people speak about their conversations with God, or instructions from God… And I felt cheated!!

I had been a Christian my whole life, but I had never heard God speak to me. Even when I needed to hear His instruction, there was nothing. It was upsetting, I felt ripped off, and if I am honest, there were probably times that I was downright angry. How many of you have felt that way? How many of you still feel this way?

Why does it seem that God speaks to some people, but not to others? I didn’t understand, and I even thought that those people who had heard from God must be lying. Pride will do that to you- it will make you bring other people down to your level…

ASK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE…

A while back, God took the scales off my eyes. I began to read the Bible, and the words became clear to me. It was nothing that I did, nothing that I deserved- it was God’s grace. The only thing I did was ask for wisdom, understanding, and knowledge- and I did it with the right motives. It was never given to me until I “washed” my motives. I’m sure we have all asked God for righteous things, but with selfish motives. Thankfully, God pointed me to the book of James one day:

James 4:2-3
…You do not have, because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.


ABOVE ALL ELSE…

With my “new eyes”, I came across a passage that simplified my questions about the voice of God.
Proverbs 4:23
23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.

When I looked at the word “heart” in Hebrew, it also translates “conscience”. So I read it again like this:
“Above all else, guard your conscience, for it is the wellspring of life.”


I was also reminded of this passage:
Jeremiah 31:33
"…I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

There’s that word again- “heart”. It helped me to understand by reading it again:

“…I will put my law in their minds and write it on their conscience. I will be their God, and they will be my people.”

THAT STILL SMALL VOICE

Elijah was in a cave at Mount Horeb, when he heard directly from God:
1 Kings 19:11-13
11… And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: 12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

Even in the days of Elijah (under the old covenant), God’s voice was not found in any of the loud and spectacular events. His voice was a still small voice. Elijah even went out of the cave to hear it! This implies that it was so quiet, he couldn’t hear the words while he was in the cave.

Under the new covenant, established through Jesus, God’s law can be found inside us. He has written it on our heart/ conscience.


CREATE IN ME A CLEAN HEART

Think back to your childhood, when you had a clear conscience and innocence. Do you remember how it felt the first time you did something bad, even though you knew it was wrong? Do you remember how your conscience “got the best of you”? Maybe that was God’s still small voice, inside your heart, telling you to stop and repent.

Now think about something bad you have done multiple times- knowing it was wrong- but still doing it. Did it get easier each time? Did your conscience become quieter each time you ignored it? If you did it long enough, you probably weren’t bothered at all anymore! Maybe you even convinced yourself it was ok, by justifying it somehow.

Maybe you are still doing it…

EACH TIME YOU IGNORE YOUR CONSCIENCE, YOU MAY BE TURNING THE VOLUME DOWN ON GOD’S VOICE INSIDE YOUR HEART.

EACH TIME YOU JUSTIFY YOUR ACTIONS, YOU MAY BE TURNING THE VOLUME UP FOR SATAN.

Think of your un-repented sins as a gong, or the sound of smashing pots and pans together. If I was whispering something to you while you were banging the pots and pans, would you hear me? If I was invisible (like God is), and whispering to you while you were banging the pots and pans- would you even know that I existed?

Maybe God’s been speaking to you all along, but your life is so noisy you can’t hear Him.



IS GOD SPEAKING TO YOU RIGHT NOW?

If you are starting to feel your conscience now, while you are reading this, get off your seat and onto your knees. DON’T WAIT! Do not ignore the voice of God- Jesus said “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me…”


Walk to a quiet place and pray this Psalm:
Psalm 51:2-3,
2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Ayatollah Khamenei Addresses The Antichrist In Speech

First- let me recap what I wrote in Daniel's 4th kingdom part 3:

"I will detail how Islam relates to the antichrist in another study. Trust me, it’s VERY CONVINCING. (Am I going overboard with the CAPITAL LETTERS??)I will tell you that Islam is waiting for the appearance of the Islamic version of Jesus, who will force the world to worship their awaited messiah, the Mahdi (12th Imam). The Islamic descriptions of the Mahdi match the Bible’s description of the antichrist. The Islamic descriptions of Isa (muslim Jesus), match the Bible’s description of the false prophet."

In light of that truth, it is stunning to watch the leader of Iran speak directly to the 12th Imam in front of the massive crowd gathered here. It is also something to see the emotional reaction of the people at the mention of the 12th Imam or Mahdi (pronounced Ma-ha-di).

This is so "in your face", I wonder- WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR PEOPLE TO WAKE UP???!!!

This weekend, I will post the comparisons of this 12th Imam (Mahdi) with the antichrist. I will also post the comparisons of the Islamic Jesus (they call him "Isa") to the false prophet of the Bible.

"Covenant With Many" Watch

Now that Netanyahu has agreed to a demilitarized Palestinian state, I am sure the negotiations will begin to center on Jerusalem.

We can look to Revelation 11 to see that at least a portion of Jerusalem will be given over:

Rev. 11:2
But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months.

PRAY FOR ISRAEL

Who Is Allah?

We know today that Islam worships a god named Allah. But who is Allah?

In an interview done by Charles Gibson, President George W Bush said we all worship the same God. Here are his words:

Gibson: "Do we all worship the same God, Christian and Muslim?"
Bush: "I think we do. We have different routes of getting to the Almighty."
Gibson: "Do Christians and non-Christians and Muslims go to heaven in your mind?"
Bush: "Yes they do. We have different routes of getting there."


Later, on Arab television, President Bush also said:

"I believe in an almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God."
"I believe there is a universal God. I believe the God that the Muslim prays to is the same God that I pray to. After all, we all came from Abraham. I believe in that universality."

WOW. It might sound nice on the surface, but do we all worship the same God?
Is Allah the same as Yahweh?

HISTORY OF ALLAH

The people of Arabia (prior to Islam) were known to worship a moon god. This moon god has had several names over the years (and depending on whether in Arabia or elsewhere).





























The names of this moon god are known to have been: Allah, Hubal, Sin, and Wadd. Notice the crescent moon on the front of the statue? Have you seen that crescent moon anywhere else?
What religion do these countries serve?











Why do mosques (Islamic “churches”) have the crescent moon symbolized at the top of their minarets?







































Islam is worshipping a moon god- NOT the God of the Bible!




An interesting section of scripture can be found in Judges 8:21-
“…And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels' necks.”
Examining the Hebrew roots of “the ornaments”, we see:

Pronunciation:
sah-har-one'

noun masculine
In Hebrew:
Mynrhvh 2, Mynrhvhw 1
In NET:
crescent-shaped ornaments 2, crescent shaped ornaments 1
In AV:
ornament 2, round tires like the moon 1
Definition:
1) moon, crescent1a) as ornament

We can conclude that these were crescent shaped ornaments found on the camel’s necks. This is further evidence of the moon worship found in the region prior to Islam's "revealing".

God gives clear instruction regarding the worship of the moon:

Deuteronomy 4:19
“And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven.”


HOW CAN WE KNOW THAT ALLAH IS NOT THE SAME AS YAHWEH?

Jesus said:

John 8:20
…"If you knew me, you would know my Father also."



John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.



John 14:17
"If you knew me, you would know my Father also."



John 14:9
Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?



John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.




Jesus makes it clear that you must accept Jesus as the Son of God in order to know the true God, Yahweh.

Islam is clear about it’s belief that Jesus was merely a prophet, and NOT the Son of God. They also do not believe that Jesus was crucified nor came back from the dead. They even believe that it is an utter BLASPHEMY to say that Jesus is the Son of God, or to believe in the Trinity.





















ANTICHRIST SPIRIT

1 John 4:2-3
2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.



1 John 2:22-23
Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.



2 John 1:7-8
Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8 Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.





Muslims have been fooled by the deceiver. Once again, I will leave you with the warning:

DREAM- Blow the Trumpet!!!

OK- I’m going to write about a dream I had last September (2008), and try to not sound like a… Complete Nut Job (CNJ).

The truth is, I have tended to be VERY skeptical of people who talk about the dreams they have had. I’m sure some of you are already cringing at what I might say next- I would be.

I had a series of 3 dreams (each different) last fall, during a time of intense prayer. After the 1st dream, I was disturbed but rationalized it as my subconscious coming alive from so much praying, thinking, and reading. It made an impression though- enough to write it down. Days went by, and I had a 2nd dream. This dream being different from the 1st, but very real! I was disturbed by this dream as well, and without going into too much detail, I was directed to the book of Leviticus to find something specific. I sat in my house the next morning wondering about the dream and whether it was my subconscious again or could it have been from God?? I couldn’t shake the feeling, so I opened my Bible to Leviticus to test the dream. Would that specific event be found in Leviticus?

IT WAS…I felt this was confirmation that the dreams were true and trustworthy.

So, being the unemotional, level-headed person that God made me… I only told a few people I could trust. I knew these people would not think I was a Complete Nut Job (CNJ), and could possibly give me some insight.

The Third Dream

Then I had a third dream. This dream is the subject of this post. You see, I never had any intention of putting my dreams on this site. It was simply too risky, not to mention I didn’t really know the meaning or purpose. It was risky because I wouldn’t want anyone to cast aside the scriptural interpretations and studies we have been doing, simply because I’m a Dream Weaving Complete Nut Job (DWCNJ). But God recently directed me to something that adds urgency to this dream, and I need to share this with you.

On the night of September 18, 2008, while sleeping, I had the following words spoken to me:

“Camp David and Oslo Accords…Set aside 12 units.”

The words were so clear and real, that I needed to write them down with the date (the night between 9/18/08 and 9/19/08). Initially I didn’t really know what the Camp David or Oslo accords were, so I googled them. Peace agreements with Israel.

Significant for sure, but what about the 12 units? Were they 12 units of time (days, weeks, months, years)? Or did those two agreements set aside 12 negotiation points? Or was it a reference to the 12 tribes of Israel? I didn’t know, but I leaned toward the time theory- just based on the feeling that I woke up with. No one has been able to help me with this dream, and it has remained with me, unresolved for 8 months. UNTIL NOW.

I was directed to a study on Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets). Due to my second dream, I had previously studied the 7 Feasts of the LORD (also known as the LORD’S appointed days). These days can be found in Leviticus 23, and they are as follows:
1. Passover
2. Feast of Unleavened Bread
3. Feast of Firstfruits
4. Feast of Weeks (Pentecost)
5. Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah)
6. Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur)
7. Feast of Tabernacles

What I had found is that these “appointed days” had original meanings as found in Leviticus 23, but also prophetic meanings. 4 of the 7 days have already been fulfilled to the very day!

1. Passover- fulfilled at the crucifixion of Jesus
2. Unleavened Bread- fulfilled at the death and burial of Jesus
3. Firstfruits- fulfilled at the resurrection of Jesus
4. Feast of Weeks- fulfilled when the Holy Spirit came to earth at Pentecost
5. Trumpets- UNFULFILLED
6. Atonement- UNFULFILLED
7. Tabernacles- UNFULFILLED



This leads us back to my study of Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets). During my study, I came across information that hypothesized that this day would be fulfilled by the “covenant with many” (peace agreement with Israel). As I read this, I thought of my dream (Oslo and Camp David Accords). I then came across a calculator that converts our western calendar into the Hebrew calendar. So… I entered September 18, 2009 (Sept 18,2008 plus 12 months) into the calendar, and checked the “after sunset” box (since my dream was during the night of 9/18-9/19, it automatically changes it to Sept 19, 2009). This is what I saw:

Did you see it? The date I had the dream, plus 12 units (months), equals Rosh Hashanah 2009!! Now, I also need to tell you that if I add 12 years (units), it also comes to Rosh Hashanah (2020) - BUT NO OTHER UNIT OF 12 WORKS. Additionally, if we ignored the 12 units and tried to add any other number of months, it would not work.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

Date of my dream + 12 units (months) = Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets) 2009

Since the substance of my dream was clearly concerning peace covenants with Israel…
The most probable conclusion I can draw is that the “covenant with many” which ushers in the 7 year tribulation period, will occur on Rosh Hashanah 2009.

Additionally, if we take Rosh Hashanah 2009 (also works with 2011) plus 7 years plus the “10 days of awe” leading up to Yom Kippur, we have 2,550 days. Why is that important???
Daniel lays out the tribulation period as 1260 days plus 1290 days.
1260+1290=2,550 days

This would fulfill the next 2 “days of the LORD”. The final day, the Feast of Tabernacles, is fulfilled when Jesus sets up his kingdom on earth and “tabernacles” with us as seen in Zechariah 14:

16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. 17 If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain. 18 If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The LORD will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. 19 This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.


A new look at the 7 Feasts of the LORD may look like this:

1. Passover- fulfilled at the crucifixion of Jesus
2. Unleavened Bread- fulfilled at the death and burial of Jesus
3. Firstfruits- fulfilled at the resurrection of Jesus
4. Feast of Weeks- fulfilled when the Holy Spirit came to earth at Pentecost
5. Trumpets- fulfilled at the confirming of the covenant/ start of tribulation
6. Atonement- fulfilled at the final judgment from the LORD (Day of the LORD)
7. Tabernacles- fulfilled when Jesus sets up his kingdom on earth and tabernacles with us.


I see 4 possible scenarios given this information:
1. The covenant is made 9/19/2009 and the 7 year period begins.
2. The covenant is made 9/19/2009 and it is “confirmed” (Dan 9:27) on Rosh Hashanah 2011, and the 7 year period begins.
3. None of this happens until Rosh Hashanah 2020
4. I’m a Dream Weaving Complete Nut Job (DWCNJ)

Seriously, why am I “sticking my neck out” and taking this risk? Why subject myself to the ridicule that will surely come from this?
What if I wasn’t given clarity on this dream until I had started this website? I certainly don’t fancy myself a prophet, but what if I was given a message and didn’t deliver it?

Ezekiel 33
6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.'

The trumpet is blown.

Daniel's 4th Kingdom (Part 3)

** Please read parts 1 and 2 first **

In order to identify this kingdom/ empire, we will use the conclusions we have drawn from our previous studies of Daniel. I will give you the identification of the empire, and then explain how it fits our prior conclusions.

Most people have been taught that this kingdom and the antichrist kingdom are Roman. I believe this is wrong, and will show you how Rome does not fit the criteria laid out in Daniel. I believe that the Bible saw Rome as an extension of the Grecian Empire. It really was not different at all (hence the term “Greco-Roman). Also, the language used in the New Testament referred to the world outside of Israel as “greek”. That would be a strange thing to do if Rome was not seen as an extension of Greece.

I also know that some people will become angry after they learn the identification of this empire, but we are all called to speak the truth- not to be politically correct.

It’s time to start naming names…

The identification of Daniel’s 4th beast empire is ……….

The Islamic (Ottoman) Empire

EVIDENCE
We will now go over the evidence to support this conclusion, by reviewing our prior conclusions and explaining how the Islamic Empire fits these conclusions. To save space, I will not review how we came to these conclusions. If you have questions on that, please review our prior studies on Daniel.

1. 4th Kingdom is represented by the legs of iron on Nebuchadnezzar’s statue
We must remember here that the dream of the statue was given to Nebuchadnezzar (king of Babylon), WHILE HE WAS PONDERING THE FUTURE OF HIS KINGDOM. The reference point is therefore the lands of the Babylonian empire. The Medo-Persia, Greece, and Ottoman empires ruled from Babylon (modern day Iraq). Rome did not.

2. Antichrist (AC) kingdom is represented by the feet of iron and clay, and is the 4th kingdom as it exists at the second coming. It is not seen as a completely different fifth kingdom.
I will detail how Islam relates to the antichrist in another study. Trust me, it’s VERY CONVINCING. (Am I going overboard with the CAPITAL LETTERS??)

I will tell you that Islam is waiting for the appearance of the Islamic version of Jesus, who will force the world to worship their awaited messiah, the Mahdi (12th Imam). The Islamic descriptions of the Mahdi match the Bible’s description of the antichrist. The Islamic descriptions of Isa (muslim Jesus), match the Bible’s description of the false prophet.


3. The 4th kingdom as it exists under the AC, must encompass the lands of the previous kingdoms (Babylon, Persia, Greece)
The Islamic (Ottoman) empire encompassed all of the lands of Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece. Rome did not, and certainly does not today.

Grecian Empire

Ottoman Empire

Islamic Nations (recently)

4. The second coming of Jesus smashes all of the empires by striking the feet (AC kingdom).
This really ties in with the answer above, and the future studies on the AC.

5. This 4th beast prior to the time of the antichrist, is the same as the legs of iron shown in the statue.

6. The 4th kingdom as it exists under the antichrist, is the same as the feet shown in the statue.
Feet = Islamic Empire under antichrist control

7. The 4th kingdom as it exists under the antichrist, will have 10 kings aligned with it. (10 toes = 10 horns)
10 Toes/ 10 Horns = 10 Kings under antichrist control.

Psalm 83
1 Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God.
2 For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
6 The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
** GUESS WHAT RELIGION THESE 10 AREAS IN PSALM 83 SERVE **
(hint- it’s not Roman Catholic)


8. This 4th kingdom is different than the other three kingdoms.
The previous 3 kingdoms were known for their worship of many gods, but the Islamic empire was completely dedicated to one god, Allah. They were a monotheistic empire, and very different from the previous three empires. Even today, you can easily see how different there culture is.

SO… if you are putting it all together, you can see that the antichrist empire will be ISLAMIC. You can also see why the prophecies were “sealed until the time of the end” (Daniel 12). Islam has not regained strength until recently, and with it’s re-emergence, the prophecies are now becoming understandable.

Knowing this, we should be praying for muslims around the world! They have been fooled into an antichrist religion. Even now, muslims are being visited in dreams and visions of Jesus (the REAL Jesus) and are waking up!! We should all pray for this to continue and pray for their safety (apostasy from Islam is a crime punishable by death).

Daniel's 4th Kingdom (Part 2)

Sorry it has taken so long to get part 2 up and running!



REVIEW

We should take a minute to review the conclusions from part 1:
1. 4th Kingdom is represented by the legs of iron on Nebuchadnezzar’s statue


2. Antichrist (AC) kingdom is represented by the feet of iron and clay, and is the 4th kingdom as it exists at the second coming. It is not seen as a completely different fifth kingdom.


3. The 4th kingdom and the AC kingdom must encompass the lands of the previous kingdoms (Babylon, Persia, Greece)


4. The second coming of Jesus smashes all of the empires by striking the feet (AC kingdom).
Head = Babylon

Chest & Arms = Medo-Persia

Belly & Thighs = Greece

Legs = 4th kingdom

Feet = 4th kingdom at the time of the second coming (under AC control)

We can now look at the 4th beast of Daniel 7 to see the similarities and additional “clues”.

TIME TO FOCUS

Daniel 7
7 "After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.
We can see above that this beast parallels the legs and feet of Nebuchadnezzar’s statue. The teeth are of iron (legs of iron on statue), and the beast had 10 horns (10 toes of the statue). We should also note that it was different from the other beasts. So, something about this beast makes it different from the empires before it.



(Just pretend there are 10 horns)

8 "While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully.
This section above refers to the antichrist, which we will further explore later. This is important to note here, because it shows the relationship between the 10 horns of the beast/empire and the antichrist.

15 "I, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me. 16 I approached one of those standing there and asked him the true meaning of all this… 23 "He gave me this explanation: 'The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom.
This beast was so terrible that Daniel was “troubled in spirit”. This is a man who has seen A LOT in his time, so it must be SERIOUS.
Also note that the 10 horns = 10 Kings.

After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.
This is another reference to the antichrist. He will subdue 3 of the 10 horns (kings). We also have the time reference of “time, times and half a time”. This equates to 3.5 years, and describes the second half of the “tribulation”.

26 " 'But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever. 27 Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.'
This parallels the “rock” that destroys the statue. It is another reference to the kingdom that will be established after Jesus’ second coming.

CONCLUSION

1. This 4th beast prior to the time of the antichrist, is the same as the legs of iron shown in the statue.

2. The 4th kingdom as it exists under the antichrist, is the same as the feet shown in the statue.

3. The 4th kingdom as it exists under the antichrist, will have 10 kings aligned with it. (10 toes = 10 horns)

4. This 4th kingdom is different than the other three kingdoms.


In part 3, we will put all the clues together and name the 4th kingdom.
